As of 2024, after about 50 years of enjoying cameras, both medium format and 35mm, feeling so comfortable in my hands ~ I am retired. There is deep gratitude to have been trusted to capture and share so many moments. Thank you all. Thanks, also, to the Highway Lions for the use of their music. Always a pleasure listening to and photographing them. My style of portraiture is different. An insight of the moment, between the breaths, behind the public persona. After 20+ years of working with film cameras as a professional photographer, I put my Hasselblad, other medium format cameras and 35mm Nikon away, thinking it was time for something else and shifted careers to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and Instructor.
Creativity may find various avenues to express itself, but, sometimes it is the more familiar that offers the most exciting and surprising expansion. So I discovered when I decided April 1, 2012 to put my toes into the digital world. How cool THIS is! I discovered that this is not the same photographer's "hat" that I had worn before...and I am basically giddy!
