]]>Welcome! The copyrighted images you are viewing are not necessarily what the 'finished' image will look like. These are not for "use". These are for viewing to assist communication for the "finished" product image that will serve your needs well.

You may notice that in a few, there are no leaves in the pool, no wet marks on the cement and the bushes have been trimmed or filled in. Where as others have many leaves in the pool and you can see vehicles through the bushes, etc.! I retouched the leaves in a few so you could see the results. Some images are 'warmer'(more yellow) while others are 'cooler' (more blue). This was also so you could see the difference, as well as, the light/clouds were changing which altered the color as we were doing the photography. This can be changed to what you prefer...or I will match them to go together when you indicate the ones you like and you will not need to be concerned about choosing one color cast over the other.

If you have any questions, please ask! An easy way to communicate is via the "Add comment" selection at the bottom of each image.

All images are under the exclusive copyright of Mary Catherine Rollo and are not to be reproduced, copied or used without a prior agreement.

Thank you! ~ Mary Catherine

Airheart, Krewe of Centaur Parade, 2014

(Mary Catherine Rollo ~ Photographic Arts) — Thu, 08 Oct 2026 00:00:00 GMT

]]>Laissez les bons temps rouler!

This gallery contains images from the Krewe of Centaur Mardi Gras Parade day. This year, instead of riding on the float with Airheart for the entire time, I hopped on for the last half. While the idea sounded good, have you tried to park in an area close to a parade route once it started?! It was fun though. I walked a while down the parade route to intercept their band float. So, you will see photographs of the characters and party atmosphere that is a part of the Louisiana Mardi Gras!!!

UNSCENE! Airlift Calanthean Canyon

(Mary Catherine Rollo ~ Photographic Arts) — Thu, 08 Oct 2026 00:00:00 GMT

]]>As part of a series of events created by the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) called "UNSCENE!", a specific artist or group of artists were brought in to do an "Artist Residency" for 6 weeks. During this time they would create, with the assistance of local artists commissioned to be on their artist team, several events open to the public. Uplift New Orleans was brought in to create the "Calanthean Canyon", a musical village! They took a lot just off the main area of downtown Shreveport and removed all the trash/junk/debris (and there was a full lot of it!) then, using reclaimed items and lumber, created buildings and an environment inside a room of the Calanthean Temple, where sounds could be created by "playing the buildings and objects". They even created an area that was an elevated second story walkway with places of music creation...including one with plants that were hooked up to an amplifier and you could hear the "music" modulations being sung by the plants!
This space has been used, during its' 10 month life, to be the venue for multiple performing artists/groups/bands, both local and national.
Part of what SRAC and the 12 UNSCENE! artist residencies brought to anyone in attendance were totally unique and heartfelt offerings of creative expression that were free to the public.
This is art that keeps on giving...

Irene and the Sleepers

(Mary Catherine Rollo ~ Photographic Arts) — Thu, 08 Oct 2026 00:00:00 GMT

]]>IRENE and the SLEEPERS...This is a great band!!!! This performance was at Strange Brew in Shreveport, Louisiana. November 27, 2015. All images under copyright of Mary Catherine Rollo. As with most stage lighting, this was a challenge. The drummer usually had little to no light on him while other musicians were under hot lighting. I make the most of what I can. When way too over saturated with color, I go black & white to save the image. If you have any questions about these copyrighted images, please message me through this website. Yes, prints are available! Enjoy! M.C. Rollo
